We run Forest Friday sessions on Fridays from 1pm to 3pm at Edgmond Village Hall.
The benefits of outdoor learning are huge. Research shows that young children are stimulated by the outdoors and over time show an increase in their self-belief, confidence, earning capacity, enthusiasm, communication and problem-solving skills and emotional well-being.
Some of the activities the children take part in are:
- Clay Animals
- Leaf and Tree Identification
- Bug Identification
- Making Insect Hotels
- Making Hedgehog Houses
We were very lucky to receive a donation recently from the Mark Master Masons of Staffordshire and Shropshire for equipment for Forest School (picture to the right)
